sorry for that mini hiatus!
Like I mentioned before, my mom was in London for this whole week! I spent everyday, morning until night with her going all over the city and seeing so many things -I think I took somewhere around 700 pictures!
Here's just a taste of some of the places we saw earlier this week..
I convinced my mom to go with me on the London Eye (450ft tall!). She was pretty nervous at first and wouldn't open her eyes, but after a few minutes I convinced her to get up and walk around the capsule and take in the views of the city.
We spent almost an entire day just in the British Museum! Anyone who's been to London says this is the #1 place to see because it holds so many amazing historical artifacts, including the Rosetta Stone! We didn't even see half of the exhibits!
I'll post more in the next few days - I don't want to overwhelm with pictures.
Ohh so glad you got to go to the eye! It looks like the sun is setting which is i'm sure a beautiful time to go on it. and the nighttime pics are pretty too! i've never seen big ben & the river at night. looking back, i can't believe i never went and saw big ben or the eye all lit up. I didn't go to the British museum either! In my group, everyone went there while my friend & i went on the eye. we only had a 3 hour window of time as well before we had to meet up again, so they had to rush through every exhibit in the museum.
ReplyDeleteah yeah I think any person could spend days in the British Museum and still not see everything! But we tried to hit the major things.
ReplyDeleteWe actually tried to get tickets to ride the eye right at sunset! (If you book online, you can choose a 30min time window). It was awesome! And I would suggest it to anyone!
We got really lucky that it was clear that night too; if we had gone any other day this week we probably wouldn't have seen the same amount of things.
