new york!

I am finally in New York!

My mom and I took the Megabus down on Saturday and let's just say, from now on I'll only take the Megabus if I really, really need to.
Our tickets said to get to the bus station at least 15minutes early to make boarding easier so we got there around 1:15 and the bus was supposed to come at 1:45.
2 hours later we finally boarded! Because it wasn't technically affiliated with the transportation center, there weren't any updates to say that it would be late.

But whatever we got to NYC eventually!

Sunday morning we woke up, ate breakfast at a cute little diner and waited for my dad to arrive with all of my clothes and room stuff.

Hours and hours of unloading and unpacking later:

I brought SO many clothes and as I was unpacking I realized I forgot to bring hangers!

I went to CVS and got some but I ended up being better off without them because the closet isn't deep enough for a hanger! =X

I was so nervous about starting my internship that I barely got 4 hours of sleep last night so I loaded up on the makeup to get rid of the dark circles and bags under my eyes.

lazy wednesday

I officially resigned from my job last week and it's been really weird not having anything structured to do for an entire week.
(granted I've been spending many hours packing, packing and oh yeah, packing.)

Aside from spending time with the love of my life (my cat!) I've been experimenting in the kitchen! Specifically, corn muffins and key lime cookie-bars.

...And as I type this, I can see smoke coming from my oven - but it's the effort that counts right?

I deleted all my other entries (all 4 of them hah!) and decided I'm starting fresh!

I plan on blogging about my travels this summer and in the fall =D
My mom and I are leaving 'Cuse on Saturday to scope out my summer housing and have dinner with some family friends and then my dad is driving down my stuff on Sunday
(thank goodness for my family being able and willing to drive there with everything, because lordy I packed A LOT).
