Ice Skating next to the crown jewels

Okay so technically it wasn't really near the crown jewels, but the skating rink was on the grounds of the Tower of London, where the crown jewels are kept!

Earlier in the morning, Rachel and I set out to see the Changing of the Guard ceremony at Buckingham Palace. Apparently everyone else in London decided to go today too haha so we didn't get up too close to the gates, but the parts we were able to see were really fun.

  1. omg that looks so fun! (if i could ice skate.) I haven't been ice skating in 15 years and don't know how :(

is london all decorated for christmas with lights and stuff at night?

have you seen the crown jewels? i did and they're amazing! i didn't even get that close to buckingham palace. it seems like everyday everyone in london goes there to see it haha.

if i had the money, i'd fly out there for a week before xmas! i need the cold and snow and that general christmas-y feeling in the air. which is unfortunately not available in florida. how can it when it's almost december and 75 degrees out?!

  2. We haven't seen too many Christmas lights yet! I actually went with one of my roommates to a "lighting" ceremony they had in our little town last weekend, and it was so lame! We thought they would have a big tree and all that jazz, and all they lit were some lights hanging on street posts.

But since it's really chilly here this weekend, it definitely feels like Christmas is coming! It must feel strange not having snow on Christmas in florida?

I did see the crown jewels! They were beautiful, but they're so overwhelming that they almost look fake! Or I thought at least
