shall we say a mini revelation?

Today was definitely one of the longest days I've had so far in the city. My supervisor was out for the day so she gave me a pretty big to-do list. Most of the intern computers have various programs that we need to use but none of them have all the necessary things so I literally was on 2-3 computers all day! hah I never, ever use macs but had to for most of the day (one had the email program while the other had our database) so I was proud to take this picture.
Usually when I have to use the mac at work, I send messages to my mac-savvy friends telling them how proud I am of myself.

After I finished my to-do list at 6, one of the other publicists was having a crisis with something that her intern had done & left earlier that day so I thought, what the heck this is what I'm here for.

I ended up staying at the office until almost 8 helping her fix a mailing that needed to go out first thing tomorrow. But I can say I really didn't mind because today was the first time I really got to see how dedicated & motivated the assistants are at this company. I got there at 10 and left around 8 - and half the staff was still working away as I was walking out the door. One even said she had to bartend later!

Everyone always says that people have to hussle and do so much to make it in new york city, but it really, really never dawned on me until today that is is totally true.

Right after I got home from interning, I went to Duane Reade, bought some chips (that I then ate for dinner in the elevator) ran into my room to change, and went to the gym with Kaelah.

Non-stop since 8am this morning!

..And I wouldn't have it any other way.
