retail therapy!

Man oh man I do enjoy some retail therapy & I got a lot in this weekend!

My mom came with my stepdad on friday night/saturday to celebrate his birthday & we accomplished more tourist-y things in one day than I thought was humanly possible.
In order we:
Went to the flagship Macy's store, hungout in Bryant park, toured the NY Public Library, took a horse carriage ride through central park, explored & ate in little italy and then back again to Herald Square for more shopping.

I was beyond exhausted by the time I got in on Saturday night (but not too tired to watch independence day because yanno it is one of my favorite movies ever).

Then this morning I had breakfast with them, went back to macys & returned a dress to forever 21 before Kaelah and I went on a great adventure to Canal Street and Brooklyn!

I am glad that Kaelah is better than I am at getting good deals on bags on Canal street because we managed to each get really cute bags for cheap!
My goal for the day was to find a decent sized Chanel with a chain strap and behold the beauty

Kaelah got the same but in a gorgeous red!

We also found these! (I got coral, Kaelah got white!)

The Ikea in Brooklyn wasn't too far away from Canal street so we took the subway & shuttle bus to the store and were in complete heaven. I've had my eyes on a certain picture frame there for months (seriously) but since the Brooklyn or Toronto stores are the closest thing to Syracuse, I never had a chance to get it until today!

I'm really excited to find some nice fabric or canvas to put on the inside instead of an actual picture.

Afterwards we headed up to St. Marks for Red Mango & I have to admit, the key lime pie flavor kicks any flavor over at pinkberry, hands down!

Best weekend I've had in the city for sure!

  1. hey, I'm your newest follower!
Found my way over here from Kaelah's blog, and I have to say, those "Chanel" bags are too cute! I hate a fake one too, my Husband picked it up for my in China, where they all come from, lol! I call mine "Chanel", and always make the quotation marks with my fingers, but it's still a great bag, so go with it, right?

    Check out my expat blog!
