Okay, so I understand this isn't exciting for most people (my supervisors thought I was crazy for being so excited) but yes, I had to hail my first cab today! (twice!)
One of the owners forgot something at the office when she left and I was the only intern there at the time and got the task of bringing it to her apartment.
let me tell you, hailing a cab is not an easy feat!
It was after 6 when I had to run the errand so the streets were busy and a ton drove by me. I ended up walking almost halfway to the destination before I finally caught one.
...now if I could just gather up some courage and ride the subway, I'll be even more proud of myself =D

ReplyDeleteThe first time is always the most memorable, like hailing your first cab in the city. You're quite lucky. On my first visit, I walked all the way to my destination because I failed to get a cab. From there, I learned to keep the number of cab services in the area so whenever I have to run or go somewhere, I'm sure that I will never walk that long again.
