Ah yes today there was yet again another tube strike in London. Lucky for me, I only had one class later in the afternoon so this morning I was able to leisurely watch last night's episode of Dexter, laundry, etc before class.
Normally I have loads of things to post from the past weekend, but this time I'm lacking on pictures because, during our fieldtrip on Friday, it we got caught in such a bad storm!
Luckily we were able to tour some things that were indoors, including The Royal Pavilion. It was strange and amazing to see a building so inspired from Asian and Indian architectures. It was used by King George IV and practically every room was inspired by Asian cultures. Staircase railings were carved to look like bamboo leaves and shoots, chandeliers had dragon statues wrapping around the tops, and couches were shaped to look like little gondolas! (Everything on the inside is authentic, so unfortunately we weren't allowed to take pictures to preserve the quality of the textiles).

Brighton is right next to the English Channel, which I think made the storm 100x worse than if we had been further inland. Lots of rain &heavy wind made me sad! (obviously haha)
By nighttime though, the day got a lot better when my roommate invited me to go see the band, MONA, from Nashville! I definitely suggest checking out their music because I think they are going to go very, very far in their career! Personally, I thought that their live performance sounded like a mixture of Maroon 5 & Kings of Leon.

This upcoming Friday I am going to Dover Castle which sits next to white cliffs and has secret tunnels used in the world wars!
I'm hoping to get creative and update this throughout the week? Or would my lovely followers prefer this be strictly about London?
